Meet Dr. Sergio Iniguez
Dr. Sergio Iniguez was born and raised in Madera, California. As a child, he spent school vacations picking and pruning grapes in the Central Valley. During his high school years, he had the opportunity to work with Madera native and bull riding champion Dr. LeTourneau, whose mentorship inspired him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
After high school, Dr. Sergio attended Loma Linda University, where he earned an Associate of Science degree in Surgical Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. While at Loma Linda University Medical Center, he gained valuable experience caring for patients with a variety of respiratory conditions.
He later went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing his clinical year at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Sergio began teaching respiratory therapy and veterinary technician students. His teaching experience included lectures and supervising clinical case studies at several Central Valley hospitals, including Madera Children’s Hospital and UCSF Medical Center.
Dr. Sergio is passionate about helping others and, for the past three years, has organized veterinary mission trips to Mexico. More recently, he has worked alongside Dr. Fred and quickly developed a strong connection to Chowchilla and the surrounding communities. He understands he has big shoes to fill and feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve the community and be a part of your pets’ lives.
